Amelia Ray was in Iceland when Covid-19 came to town. When her concert scheduled for 21 March 2020 in Reykjavík was cancelled, she decided to organise a 24-hour, worldwide, virtual music festival right from her hotel room. From March to May 2020, The Quarantuned Music Festival series featured 121 participants from 33 countries. Through viewer donations, the festivals raised over $3600 to benefit artists affected by Covid-19 concert cancellations. A portion of the proceeds was donated to GlobalGiving's Coronavirus Relief Fund.
